Hinton Kitchen

Bristol

This project was all about transforming a small, underused living room into a spacious and inviting kitchen-dining area that blends modern design with the warmth of a traditional cottage. Every detail was carefully considered to create a space that feels both contemporary and in keeping with the home’s character.

The kitchen is defined by its bold material choices, with birch plywood cabinetry providing a natural, understated backdrop for the rich orange Valchromat doors, panels, and kickboards. To tie everything together, we used oak chip Foresso worktops throughout, creating a seamless flow from the counters to the island and down onto the integrated dining table. The island itself is a centrepiece, offering not only ample workspace but also housing a sleek, built-in hob with hidden extraction. The stepped design of the island allows for a natural transition between cooking and dining, making the space feel open, connected, and social.

The renovation went far beyond aesthetics. We completely reworked the space with a new floor, internal walls, fresh plastering, tiling, and decoration. The result is a kitchen that feels warm and welcoming, with materials and colours that enhance the cottage’s charm while delivering a practical, modern living space.
